: Years Too Late
on Thursday, April 06 @ 15:05:39 UTC
GracieLou writes:: " A cruel twist of fate
To find you years too late
Emotions felt, even I cannot comprehend
I have betrayed my head with my heart

To unlock the secrets buried deep
Am I but a temptress yearning,
For the sweet rhapsody that is you
All the while, traveling down the road to perdition

We could both go down in flames
Condemned for a love that should not be
So why do I continue risking everything for a love
That may be as fleeting as the winter’s first snow

Living in a world where confusion reigns supreme
All thoughts, words, and actions a dream
Hoping that the courage will take me
And I can live this fantasy forever and at last
"

GracieLou,

This poem was written with a great deal of emotion! It is probably one of your best works.

I would hazard that you have found someone special but, are in a conundrum about whether you should keep what you have or go out on a limb for something/someone you want. Staying safe is the easiest choice and the only choice for a good Catholic girl. If you go out on a limb it will get cut out from under you. In either case you should be ready to catch yourself. Just be careful, think about all the options and pitfalls.
