: ''An Angel Beside Me''
|
on Tuesday, April 25 @ 23:33:24 UTC
Anonymous writes:: " I dreamed one night as I lay sleeping, wrapped in slumber's warm embrace,
I saw God walking with an angel, a beam of light wrapped round her face.
I asked the Father, "Who's this angel walking with you hand in hand",
He said, "Be still and in a moment you will come to understand'.
Side by side they strolled together, He spoke to her as she would nod,
I wondered what her ears were hearing coming from the mouth of God.
And then their conversation ended, she turned and flew on angel's wings
The Father said, "come over here, son, you need to hear a couple things.
"Her name is Woman, said the Father, on loan to you from here above.
I've sent her down to bring you laughter, to teach you how to trust, to love.
Down life's road you two will travel, companions two throughout the years.
She'll lift you up in times of sorrow, she'll light your way and calm your fears.
So treat her well. Guard and keep her. Protect her life as though your own.
And never try to hurt or change her, for she's not yours, but mine on loan.
Then I awoke from peaceful dreaming, safe and warm inside our bed.
I turned to see the sleeping angel, a moonlight beam draped round her head.
I laid there drinking in her beauty, the Father's words still in my ears.
She'd taught me love and brought me laughter. She'd lit the way and calmed my fears.
I closed my eyes and thanked my Father for loaning me his very best
And drifted back to softest slumber, an angel's arm draped cross my chest.
