: i can count her faces and i do
on Tuesday, May 08 @ 22:44:52 UTC
senorjalapeno writes:: " i can count her faces and i do
bright green stars with mascara round the edges
wife-ish almond bricked and stacked into a home on davis street
fiery azure blue sings the most and hurts the most

now i'm forced to smile when words split past each other
shards bounce from the walls and i smile
a day before and i'd have sat and thought and thought about it
today i'm captured rather by a silver grey from yesterday
i swept her off her feet and left her scowling, i believe
my clumsy thoughts can grace and foul any conversation

propped against a shelf somewhere a patient thought has rested waiting
past the greens and browns and blues
to speak and sing and whisper
to crash and clutter
chirp and cease
through all respective seasons
the solemn, solitary silver grey has napped and stirred
i didn't mean to wake her though i have

a day before and i'd have slept and dreamed and dreamed about it
today i may just do the same
no instead i think i'll grin and laugh some more about it
she might awake
perhaps she won't
sleeping silver grey
in either case i've learned to count Your faces on the wall
i can hear You smiling and i do "
