: The toll of life
on Sunday, May 27 @ 09:49:48 UTC
dhruv writes:: "
It seems life has its ways to amuse and entertain
God, it seems, thinks above all and sundry
Why I still bother or we all for that matter
Is a thought out of my feeble mind
Though now and then I wonder why people care
Why we think of others, why we “desire to be there”
Life it seems flows away, without any sense or motive…
And yet I’m here looking at the photograph
Of yet another one who visited my god…
But why?

The toll of life it seems I will never understand
Why I still bother or care, I can never comprehend
We say, we hope, that the departed are at peace
We honor and respect, we pray the deceased
We know not of how to bring them back
Or how to comprehend
Yet we claim to know of how everything began
And of how everything will end
Here I breathe and I do what I am told
To the needy I still give; the wise I still behold
I just wish I could keep the ones I love, hold them by their hand
The toll of life, it seems I will never understand…

This is intersting, a question many ask and ponder how life is really suppose to be. God did mean for us not to die, and there is a hope. Just read Revelation 21:3-4, "he will wipe the tears from their eyes and death will be no more" I really liked this poem, keep writing.
