: amongst the brush, be-ith snakes
on Saturday, November 03 @ 18:22:16 UTC
darkdream writes:: " silent as the night
stalking the ground in the shadows
filling the conscience with fright
as its body slithers through hollows
the rifts and flaws of our character

that act as conduits for its perpetual route
into the blissful dreams of personal rapture
the hidden is now being sought
its poison can be deadly
like the flames of a wild fire it spreads
and our gentle slumber does not make us ready
for the thick fog of smoke that might leave us for dead
amongst the garden of roses
preceding the thorns of its stalks
slithering in utter tranquility in the victims haven it has chosen
is the serpent, watching precautiously as it walks
do be careful who/what you let into your garden
for no matter how beautiful it may seem on the outside
always remeber
amongst the brush, be-ith snakes

I like this darkdream, great imagery and descriptive "rapture" of a snakes poison bite of our our imperfect character. Liked the metaphor. Keep writing.
