barbiedollreject writes:: " Stained by liquid wine on tongue,
satin sheets softly blanketed his feet.
He wrapped himself in her as her flesh
exposed the black beauty of September's
ripe fruit.

Orchards of splendor sufficed his growing
appetite.
As divisions derided his swelling fists,
he was the man who trembled and derided
her travels.

He let the phantom in his head pair him up
with illusions. She wasn't in danger.
Minutes of silence gave away to paranoia.
She dreamed of skyscrapers by the sea.
Her fingers caressed his trembling fists.

White linen stained by his blood sheltered
the two bodies separated by alternate worlds
yet intertwined.
Blades carved out their name in old olive trees.
Once free in the city, now occupied by their own
fears of some unknown, he once collected grains
of sand in his pocket.

The golden glasses filled in the kitchen stood alongside
sea shells and dried fish.
The low tide washed them out to the dry land.
He felt fulfilled then.
While she futilely stretched out her body, he
thought of protecting her grave and the building
sites.
She dreamed of the sea as they separated into two minds. "
