: The doll
on Monday, July 05 @ 15:37:50 UTC
perv writes:: " Ensconced in the snow white duvet,
You ponderously stretched out your arms,
And made a strange gesture
Like a perverse fairy.

You’re slim lilac body
Was so familiar,
As though I had seen it somewhere,
Perhaps imitated imperfectly in nature.

For you are unique.
You’re sublime ordinariness,
Is like nothing that I have known,
At moments you belie description,

And so these words are an injustice.
Yet you stand there,
Like the solitary shadow
Of a solitary tree,

Dominating this most glorious of images,
You’re eyes flickering menacingly,
Like dancing green devils.
And I think how much

My barbaric love degrades you,
For it is how you make me feel,
That I love most,
And this like all love, is selfish.

this is amazing! like lawrence and rs thomas a real reponse to a supernatural unseen, just oozing with sensuality. why is the title at odds with the poem though? what is it about untethered desire you are trying to say?
