: KERRY: THE RIGHT MAN RIGHT NOW
on Friday, July 30 @ 07:06:44 UTC
steeleyes writes:: " Right now
Kerry is the right man

You may say Iraq was right
Despite the lies
Despite the deaths

But now?
What now?
What is needed NOW?

Will America invade Syria? Iran?

Take a look.
There are fifty years of work to be done.
In Iraq, in Afghanistan.

So, whether Iraq was right or wrong.
What is the job right now?
What is the job ahead?

To build strong bridges against terrorism
To work in deep co-operation with the world
To build a web of protection in depth
For that you need trust, respect and goodwill

Bush lost all that
The world either despises or mistrusts him

Right now
And for the future
Bush is INCAPABLE of protecting America
He can't do the job ahead

And it needs doing
Right now.

Now what's needed
Is a man who can be trusted.

Even if Bush WAS right
(And you know I don't believe he was)
He is not right NOW.
Not for the job ahead

Kerry may not be perfect
No doubt he will cause HIS share of deaths

But, right now?
Right now
He is right

For the job ahead
Building those bridges
Making America strong
Because the world is back on side
Working together

Kerry may not be ALL you want
But Kerry is the right man for the job

Right now.

Just one question, does anyone like Bush? You may be right about what you said but that remains to be seen. Good poem.

It seems to be around 50/50 at the moment with Kerry going into a slight lead overall with a larger lead in swing states. Some certainly DO like Bush but you rarely see them on the web. I do believe Kerry is the guy who could move America back into close connection with those countries that she needs to become secure again. Standing alone she is a VERY vulnerable target. Here in Europe there is a great danger of America being forever seen as an ugly and arrogant bully. That stereotype is not wholly true although the elites in America have never truly reflected the goodness within most American hearts. Kerry COULD reflect that for the first time. This would be a huge benefit.

personally i hate politicians. i hate politics. i believe that whoever is president , that he is just a puppet with strings attached on him. that the real Boss comes from behind. from someone we cant see, cos he dont want 2 show himself.
and that the big forces just help him more.
the man (president) is just another victim of power. if he refuses to do what the man from the back tells hei, then i guess he's out.
check to see what happened to jfk.
but still. Bush sucks. he was a druggy, an alchoholic, and he only made it cos his dads in there...
