: Nothing Matters Anymore
on Tuesday, August 03 @ 11:32:05 UTC
cutebeka writes:: " He doesn’t seem to know
Doesn’t seem to care,
That I’m just standing here,
Nothing seems to justify the truth in what he’s done,
Nothing seems to matter anymore,
He’s in his own mind,
Drinking all the time,
Thrashing at me like I’m a nobody,
Just like an old rag doll,
Standing here,
As silent tears stream down my face,
Clenching my fists in rage,

Would he stop if I hit him back?
Probably not, I keep the rage inside of me,
I’ll take it out on myself,
Finishing the job he’s started,
He leaves me standing there,
Nothing to care about anymore,
As I stare at the floor,
Thinking about what I did wrong,
I fall to my knees in defeat,
I’ll be scarred for life,
Pain will always be with me,
But the bruises will fade from what my dad did to me.

Very strong words. I just got out of an abusive relationship and i remember those feelings...it took me back, and it also reminds me how strong we really are...(we put up with it, and we still smile when someone asks "how are things?"
you did a wonderful job, keep up the work...

Very powerful. I was in that situation for 13 years. I know how you feel and what you are going through. Keep your head up and keep writting. That's the only thing that got me through.
