love it, sooo true, and so easy to see/notice when you look back on it, but so hard to comprehend and stop while its happening. a similiar situation happened to me, my first love, i thought it'd last forever, but we grew apart instead of together, and fell out of love. it still baffles me how this happened, and of course its easier to notice after-the-fact the seemingly subtle transitions of emoion and interaction that you list here. bascically i love this poem, can totally relate to it, great job, keeping on writing more!
