: One step forward, three steps back
on Saturday, November 06 @ 20:37:42 UTC
viswanathkrishnan writes:: " When I was a child
close to seven decades back,
Truth was natural;
now it's optional.

From bullock cart to fast cars,
jets and space rockets,
we've advanced by leaps and bounds;
only to fall back on life's worth.

With family as a well-knit unit,
love then was authentic

and effortless;
now love as we knew is superfluous.

From kings and dynasties,
we've progressed to
nations and democracies;
but the poor and weak are no better off.

The age of Science and Reason
smaehsd many mythical citadels
and brought about knowledge explosion;
but man's spirit and his wisdom receded. "

I agree with this down to the last line. I believe that mankind will find it's ultimate goodness, and we are on a path.
