: Dalas Alexander (my son)
on Wednesday, March 02 @ 15:46:29 UTC
randy writes:: " I see his little happy face
In a thousand different places
I've lost him for they've gone away
I cant remember his faces
Now I know what he looks like
But his happy face I cannot see
This memory is lost in me
I cannot find in my minds eye
The face he shows when he does cry

Or his happy little grin
When his brother lets him win
I once watched him jump for joy
When he got a brand new toy
He scratched his knee in front of me
And now I cannot see
The way his face contorts from pain
I'll never dry his tears again
The emptiness I have inside
Is something that I cannot hide
randy 1-22-05 "

This poem is wonderful, your syntax and diction propell me into the torment you have for your lost son.
I'm amazed that people can be so cruel, especially about something as precious as a child. First off, there should be mutual agreement after splits to keep the child in circulation...even if its a bit trying at first for them; its much worse when something like this happens. second, it takes two to create a child and therefore, one parent shouldnt have rights over the other. I find what has happened to you severely unjust, and im sorry it had to happen, you seem to have been very much in love with your son (in a paternal way of course).

I think this poem is beautiful. I understand all the emotion more behind the poems about your children seeing as I'm about to have my own ready or not. I wish you the best.
