: Lesson One
on Thursday, March 17 @ 09:14:36 UTC
funeral_of_hearts writes:: " Early morning protocol.
Wipe the sleep from my eyes,
the dark curtains hide the sunlight.
F*cking world - always lies.
No electric on the meter,
the cupboards are all bare,
leave the bills un-opened,
what the f*ck do i care?
The great British mug of tea
before work starts in a hour

open up the fridge expectantly.
Sh*t - the milk's gone sour.
Slam the door to my flat
and run to catch the bus.
Work's just hell with strip lighting,
customers are making such a fuss.
Boss drags me in the office.
"You're on another planet today."
Oh my God i wish i was,
maybe the martians would let me stay.
move quickly to the station,
bus is late. Again.
I look at the sky impatiently.
i nearly cry as it starts to rain.
So here i am home again
soaked, tired and unfed.
Next time i'll just learn from my mistakes
and just not get out of bed. "

hey i like this. it actually explains relisticly the boredom, frustration ans suffocation of 'normal' life. it reminds me of 'town called malice' by the jam.
thanks
