: Natures Contrasting Glory
on Sunday, July 03 @ 10:57:13 UTC
corruptedspirit writes:: " I lay upon a wide stretch of beautiful emerald green grass,
The sun out in all it's fiery glory,
It belts down on my golden brown skin.
I can feel it warming my blood as it flows through my body.
The reflection of the awesome light, reflecting off my shades.
My skin feels radiant and alive,
I absorb all the heat the sun has to offer.
A perfect moment in time.

People to the left of me chatting and basking in the Glorious light sent from above.
Two lovers intwined with one another on my right,
He is gently stroking her long blonde hair with his manly fingers as she lay her head upon his chest, with her eyes closed.

But i lay alone in the sun, a perfect moment, alone with my thoughts, writing in this book.

Slowly, the clouds begin to over-power the light source,
Casting a dark shadow upon the spot i lay.

The couple to my right, stir and prepare to leave.
The people to my left, already gone, slipped away unoticed by myself.

I still lay on my spot of soft, cushioned grass.
I feel a small raindrop fall onto my cheek; It feels like a tear,
I smile and carefully wipe it away.

Then as if the sun had never been,
The clouds open up and shower me with powerful rain; Drops the size of acorns.

Yet still i lay, laughing quietly to myself as the rain blots my previously written words as if to defend itself against the sun.
I slowly rise and take a slow walk back to my car.
Soaked from head to toe.
People looking at me in a strange manner as i still continue to smile ear to ear.

If this was my everyday experiance,
I'd never wear a frown.
I wouldn't care about the rest of the world.
I reluctantly close my book and continue my journey home. "

I like this, It sounds just a bit like a short story though but still none the less it is very good. You description of the sun and of the grass was very good. And i could picture the spot you were at in my head as i read this piece.
Again very good read and it flowed well also.
Keep on inkin the pages
