: The Alchemist

BodhiTree writes:: " I am the crucible
I contain this infinite space
I contradict and juxtapose this notion of order
Beware, I only show my claws and teeth in the dark

.

I swaddle the dragon for me and you
I free the crow for me and you
.

Cresting and soaring above for me
These halcyon calls entrance me
An intensity of harmony and chaos uplifts me
Hopefully these mutations do not make you lose me
.

My treachery is natural to me
But my need to stagnate in the flow seduces me
.

Do you notice my scales?
They have grown black feathers, but are they still not my skin?
Is my spirit possessed?
Do you recognize my need to be still recognizable?
.

My reflection seems mine
But my instincts are not mine
.

CONFUSION: conflicted habits are all mine to have and own
SEARCH: perpetual knowledge is mine to find and give
PLACE: the hub of the wheel is mine to be and be
UNDERSTAND: the colors within the black and white are mine to see and see
.

Therefore, I wish to own what is mine for myself
Therefore, I must take this shovel of mine and dig until I find myself
.

Me myself — who is this self?
Is she herself or my self?
Does she make mind and body to be my self?
A constellation in the blackness is what I am to myself.

Very nice- very nice indeed. The title the alchemist drew my attention -and I must say the poem belonging to the tittle certainly did not disappointment me! I like how you speak to yourself -I like the atmosphere your words pronounce -the cellar where you run your experiments I can almost see for myself. I like the metaphores you applied to transformation too -very gothic indeed- trully stylefull -may be not all togather unique -but then after all - the ideas you expressed certainly are not unique to one person as well. I am a sorcer apprentece myself -and I do not refer to Harry Potter that is for sure.
I am really impressed also by the background knowledge you put into this poem -the ideas you developed over time reading your books and watching televison -I reckon you poet.
You should read Kierkegaarde once- if you not already did in trying to discover yourself? Also a study in the phillosophy of science I would recomment- epistomology I study myself. Questioning what is mine when I speak to myself- when I plan my mind -if progress is possible in the very first place. But watch out- knowledge can be a burden too -gaining self knowledge is a tortures experience -so take good care of yourself -make many friends -and stay of the drugs in trying to discover yourself. You know that alchemy was not a science but a way of live -it got many people killed because of it.
