: This Life(rewrite)
on Tuesday, September 27 @ 13:12:59 UTC
missy writes:: " i rewrote this cause i ended up not really liking the original one i came up with, i think this one is better and gets out more of what i really wanted to get out with this poem, let me know what you think...

people look, but never see
what so many others go thorugh
and try to be,
I have learned to give
and be all I can to the ones who enter into my life
they deserve what others feel they don't need,
can't you see beneath the shell?
see what they really are all about,
I have found that certain people are in this life for a reason
and experiences never seem to appeal
but yet teach you so much,

in this life i've gone through change
it can always be good
but then again it may not
I still haven't figured out what change will really be for me
it has been hard to leave what use to be my life,
there is soo much im still waiting for
all that is missing in me and in this life of mine,
ive gone through the pain
of losing the love and happiness in my life
I still feel the emptyness
and yet I try to live,
many days im lost to where im going
and many nights I have cried myself to sleep
and here I am revealing all of this in me,
life in general has never been the easiest, but it never is
it takes endurance and the will to live
though many times there is nothing there to keep you going,
it is hard to find that hope
and the motivation to be what you can
sometimes there is just nothing left,
I have been through alot
but even through the pain and the emptyness that still exists
ive learned to never let go of those who care and mean the most
though there is the reality of losing the ones closest to you
I have lost a best friend,
and those who become the closest to me
become the farthest from me,
but the greatest thing I have ever learned
is just to love
even though in reality love is what brings us so much pain
but it can be the strongest at the same time
to help mend all the broken pieces
from all that we have gone through

Wow...what a powerful write! Such wisdom in these words, lessons in life. Excellent write.
I have to say my favorite line, that really hit me in the heart was..

and those who become the closest to me,
become the farthest from me,

so true, I've never been able to put that in words but always felt it...you did a brilliant job. Take Care
