Year to year I just hope and pray to god my news year’s resolution will come true,
not to feel the way I feel.

Week to week I just hope and pray to meet people like me, people who may be able to explain to me what I am.

Day to day I just hope and pray that I will wake up in the morning not wanting what I want.

Hour to hour I just hope and pray the people I see in the street or people that know my family doesn’t know what I know.

Minute to minute I just hope and pray my friends won’t tell the one secret that could ruin and destroy my entire life.

Second to second I just hope and pray I will be normal in a little while and that it could just be a phase.

Who am I kidding? I am what I am. I wish I could be normal, but what is normal. I should accept that being gay is what makes me who I am; I just wish I could believe it

In this poem you strive to be normal but in life there is no such thing as normal as in some ways everyone is unique no one can help the way they feel even if what they desire they believe they cannot have. In this poem you seem incredibly angry and perhaps furious about the society that you live in as the poem suggests that you do not belong and so wish to be like everyone else

I'm just curious as to why you care what everyone else thinks? The poem underlies that you're ashamed to let people know who you really are (not WHAT, because homosexuality is not a friggin disease).. if that's the case, you might want to take time to rethink things. Otherwise, be yourself, and you will be more than normal -- you'll be exceptional.

What others think of you sometimes hurts, and people can make you feel bad about who you are, if you are a good person hun then it makes no difference what sexual preference you have and anyway who wants to be a clone hey!, everyone should have there own values and morals hun and it shouldnt be so bad to be different but life just is that way sometimes. Maybe better friends and associates will help, that way you get the love you need to get over the pain. And when you do find others who accept you for who you are then maybe the doubts and confusion will disappear
